The Putttery is an upscale, indoor bar/lounge immersive experience with creatively designed putting holes intertwined in the multi-faceted facility design. — It’s described as an “adult-focused and modern spin on the classic game of mini-golf” concept that’s anchored by multiple bars and lounges and it’s coming to Charlotte. After a successful run in The Colony, Texas, the golf-centric entertainment group Drive Shack Inc. will bring a second location of Puttery to Charlotte.

The first locations of Puttery are scheduled to open this summer in Charlotte and Dallas, with a total of seven venues planned by the end of the year. We loved that they have food so you don’t have to leave early to get a meal in, and they have a great selection of food including classic appetizers, a few salads, burgers, entrees like pasta and even dessert. Puttery is an adults-only (customers must be of legal drinking age) bar and lounge featuring elaborate miniature golf courses. By applying their skills and knowledge, the students not only refined their legal writing abilities but also saw firsthand the direct influence of their work on domestic violence survivors seeking legal support. Each course will probably take you about 30 minutes as long as no one is holding you up or you don’t have a big group. We definitely recommend getting the pass for Unlimited Play unless you’re short on time. We played the Conservatory course, had some drinks and food, and then finished the night with the Library course.

The food menu leans heavy on hearty snacks like lamb sliders and several choices of pizza (food that can easily be eaten in between rounds of mini-golf). This trip marked the first collaboration between Safe Alliance and Carolina Law, and Moran hopes to continue building on this partnership. The experience was particularly meaningful for Moran, who interned with Safe Alliance during her 2L summer and whose sister now works there as a therapist. “It just so happened that this was the project the students wanted to do, and Safe Alliance had availability. It was very reasonably priced, didn’t take a huge time commitment (but could if we had wanted it to), the mini golf itself was great and so was the service, drinks and food.

Another option, which is the best choice if you’ll be indulging in cocktails, is to take the Light Rail to the East / West Blvd station which is right next to Puttery Charlotte. Uber and Lyft are also great options and readily available all throughout Charlotte. Whether a corporate team-building event or a milestone birthday party, make any special occasion a memorable night out at Puttery.
